Yes, agreed!! I certainly didn't envision becoming SO attached to this little character! And, as for those greetings when we walk through the door - how wonderful is that???

I would quit living if something happened to Rosie. Never had that kind of attachment to any other dog.

We have had 'pets' all our lives...but never a Cicero. We had rather stay home with him than go out.

Yes, I'm in the same boat as you, Linda! I never, in my wildest dreams, ever thought that I would become so attached to my baby!! Just something about these Havs that make you love them!

I married my DH and moved from CA to NC, I had been a widow, I brought two small mill dogs a shih tzu and a lhasa apso. My DH never had a small dog. One weekend he was lying in bed and said "I never thought it would be this way", I ask what he was talking about and he said "I thought I would like them. I didn't know they would be so fun". We got Yogi April 2009 and my DH said someday I would like another havanese. We now have two. I now know the dogs I came with were a prelude to what would someday follow

Robbie, Boo Boo, Yogi, and Misty's human.
Poohkey miss you, monkey.

I'd have to agree with earlier thoughts that I never thought I'd be SO attached to my little 1/2 hav. I was always a big dog person (over 100 lbs) and I still am, I have deeply loved all my dogs and had really strong bonds with each of them, but there is something different with little dogs, and havs. I can't imagine how I'd feel over a full hav!

I have a new anatolian pup, and he's super sweet, uber calm, smart (not hav smart though) just couldn't ask for more from a pup, but the attachment is different. my 1/2 hav is endlessly entertaining. I would definitely rather stay home and watch their antics than go out most times.

they are pretty awesome.
