Memories . . .

The other morning shortly before 6 AM when I was getting ready to roust Shama and take her outside, she was so cute all sprawled out around her blue elephant (named Ellie by my DH). It made me think about how we gave her that elephant when we first met her when she was two and a half weeks old. The third photo was taken shortly after we brought her home at 10 weeks. That's about when this video was taken too . . . (The elephant attack begins about 30 seconds into the video. She weighed only about two pounds when that video was taken!)

Take lots of pictures of your puppies! They grow up too fast!

OMG she is so flippin adorable it makes my uterus twitch! She was a fierce little thing, I love that little gremlin growl they do. Shama and Tux are two of my favorites on the forum both are so adorable. I've always had mostly black Havs. We are getting a black and white parti boy next month we've always wanted one but the stars never aligned until last week. Of course he is white everyplace that shows dirt...I'll be on the grooming section reading soon

Thanks! I had six dogs growing up, but none were black and white, so I'd never imagined myself with a black and white dog, but that's what Shama turned out to be! Someone I ran into recently said they'd always wanted a dog with skunk coloring, and I was like, "Hey . . ." as I'd never thought of her coloring as skunk-like! Looking forward to seeing photos of your puppy! What is his name? (Tux was one of our finalist names for a boy dog, but we got a girl.)

As I watched that FUNNY video of Shama killing everything in sight with intense vigor, I had to laugh. It was as if I were watching a rerun of Tux as a pup (and occasionally recently). He still gets in "attack" mode and tries to shake the brains out of Mr. Squid. Mr. Bear is always losing his pants and shirt thanks to Tux's diligence in keeping Mr. Bear "cool". As soon as I get him dressed again, Tux is very adroit at removing it all.

It's interesting that he has had other toys, but they go into the dust bin of forgotten playmates, while Mr. Squid and Mr. Bear have outlasted them all. They were also his first toys. Mr. Bear came with Tux from the breeder. Mr. Squid followed just a few days later. I bought a newer brighter cleaner Mr. Squid to replace the bedraggled one, but the nasty dirty stringy Mr. Squid, still has top ranking.

I took this photo two days ago, after Tux, worn out from a long hard battle with old Mr. Squid, dropped from exhaustion and fell asleep.

She doesn't have skunk coloring, people can be strange (and rude lol).

We haven't named the pup yet because we haven't made our pick, they are all beautifully marked black and white partis though. We met them last week at 3 weeks old so they don't have much of a personality yet. They were cute as can be. Imagine a whole pile of parti puppies, I was in heaven.

What a precious puppy she was, and feisty too! She is still so precious as an adult!

Shama is so pretty! I️ love watching her puppy video with her shaking her elephant! It is fascinating to me to see how the Havanese run, romp, jump and do that head shaking thing that makes me laugh every time I see it! I️ would love to see how KC would behave with another Havanese. The dogs in his puppy class (with the exception of one Yorkie who is extremely shy) are all significantly bigger than KC and they donít quite know how to react to him.
