Male marking!

The past few days our sweet Bailey has been marking in the house! It's horrible and has been on some of my daughter's bin for toys and today was on the wall. We have his surgery booked for January 5 to lose his manhood but I"m worrried it's going to get worse in the next few days and maybe the furniture. Yikes!!

I've just ordered the belly bands off amazon as I'm hoping get rid of this habit sooner rather than later and really hoping the surgery will stop this. Any other suggestions on how to get him to quit?

might slow it somewhat but not guaranteed. Marking should be treated the same as basic housetraining, ie. confinement and close supervising when free in the house.

I had the EXACT same problem, we just treated it exactly like he peed in the house. It was so draining, and then he started to do it when we were not home! We only had to do this for a few weeks, until his appointment. Thankfully once we neutered him it all stopped!!! So here is to hoping

I have a male, and he lifted his leg JUST ONCE in my house. WE had a "conversation". But I CAUGHT him in the act. If you don't watch your puppy (and they ARE puppies when this starts) CLOSELY, and confine them when you can't have eyes-on supervision, you can't train them.

Male dogs in Europe are rarely neutered. And I GUARANTEE you. They also do NOT mark in the house. Just train the dog.
