Molly getting spayed tomorrow

It will be a hard day worrying that something could go wrong. Molly has fit in here well and we are all very attached to her. The snorting, sneezing and comical behavior of the shih tzu makes life more interesting for us. Tasha is having more fun than she ever could before as an only dog. They chase each other all over the house. At almost 6 months Molly is barely 5 pounds. The breeder didn't expect her to exceed 8 pounds. Here is a recent pic.

She is just precious as can be!!

I know its hard worrying about them, but just remember that most spays and neuters go off without a hitch and they recover quickly when they are younger.

It'll give you an excuse to cuddle on the couch with her and watch movies, or read books..or surf the net and be totally unproductive and snuggle all day!!!

(my kinda day! )

I know how you feel. I've always had girl dogs, and always worry, but you know it has to be done. Sophie is 10 weeks old and I already have started dreading the spay. I know Molly will be fine. She is adorable!

Molly is darling!! We can tell you not to worry, but you will anyway. We all care so much about our 'kids' that I think it is only natural to worry about them. I nearly made myself sick with worry when Augie had his neuter. What helped for me was that I kept myself super busy the morning I took him in - got lots of house cleaning done - until that phone call that his procedure was finished and he was OK - then it was - Oh, good, I don't have to clean any more!! Hope the time goes by quickly for you, and that it is an uneventful procedure with quick healing for little Molly. She really is a cutie!

My thoughts and prayers are with you for an uneventful spay and a speedy, uncomplicated recovery. Sending hugs to your sweet girl, Molly.

Molly is home and all went well. She is a little dopey from the morphine so she's just laying on the couch. Tasha seemed to know something was different so she's laying on the couch next to Molly and not trying to play with her. Molly is too small to jump on and off furniture so it will be easier to keep her inactive for awhile. Thanks for all your good thoughts and prayers.

Glad to hear that Molly is doing well. I have to admit that I find the dopey dog stage of post surgery a little entertaining. I'm sure tomorrow she will be doing much better.

My guy goes tomorrow (Wednesday) for his neutering. I'm trying not to pay too much attention to it other than to be sure not to feed/water him anymore tonight! However, I'm sure that when I leave him tomorrow I will be fully cognizant of his not being with me!

Hope everything goes well for your little guy. We were going to get a male thinking neutering is less of a concern versus spaying. Molly is pretty much her old self today but I gave her a pain pill just in case and to keep her less active.
