scam website Worthyhavanesepuppies.com

DH has a Facebook account and just read about a scam website called Worthyhavanesepuppies.com on a post within the Facebook Havanese Forum. The website asks for money for a downpayment for a puppy, and you never get your puppy. Sheesh.

There are SO many scam "puppy sales" on the internet. I'm not sure if it's worse to lose your deposit and not get a puppy, or GETTING a sick, poorly bred puppy mill dog. Neither is good.

I’d chose not getting the puppy every time. At least then there isn’t a need for them to keep breeding more pups to have “merchandise”. There are also rescue scams out there. My girlfriend just got a Cavalier King Charles puppy from one who she found out is an actual puppy mill broker from OH.

Yup. Many of the deep south puppy mills are expressly breeding for the North East "rescue market". My son "adopted (bought for $500 if you ask me) a sweet, friendly young Treewalker Coonhound from a "rescue" up here. We don't have enough dogs in shelters for people do adopt, so they are imported... either from the deep south or Puerto Rico. My son didn't know any better, and the dog is a very nice pet. But he's not a "rescue", IMO.
