Ache doesn't lay down after surgery...

Ache was spayed yesterday and everything went well. She was back home around 2:00 pm. She just wanted to be on my lap and although she was still sleepy because of the anesthesia and pain meds, she didn't sleep too much.
She is so tired because she is refusing to lay down. I put blankets, pillows, a comforter, her bed... but she just stays there looking at me with sad eyes and doesn't lay down. The only sleep we had was when I hold her on my lap and she gets a position where her tummy doesn't touch anything. I gave her the pain medicine this morning but everything is still the same. I am waiting for a call from the vet's office and see what they say. Anyone has had the same experience with their babies? Any suggestions?
Some pics of my sad girl after surgery.

Aw, poor baby. I wish I had a magic solution for you but I don't. I think the vet has to determine whether there's a problem with the incision or any stitches. Sending you and her cyber hugs and healing vibes. I'll be checking in all day to see how she's doing.

Poor darling. I'm going to have to go through this with Eli in about a month. I'll be watching the thread for advice. Hope Ache feels better soon, the poor sweet heart.

Ache is sleeping in my arms right now. The vet wants to inject some pain medication to help her feel more comfortable. I will take her to the vet's around 1 pm. Better to have him take a look at the incision too. Thanks.

Poor baby! Please keep us posted.

None of my girls have done that after spay (and I've have PLENTY spayed - many rescues, in addition to my own babies). Hopefully the vet will have some good news for you. I hope pain meds will take care of it!
