new bed for Shama

We were in the market for a dual-recliner-type love seat, so we choose one with a spot in between us for Shama. Now we just have to train her to come up and sit with us!

We were able to use our gift certificate for a FREE GROOM at PetSmart today. (Got it at the Grand Opening in our city after standing outside in six degrees below zero with Shama wrapped in a blanket.) Asked the groomer to attempt a braid in Shama's hair. Here is the result. She did say that she held her head still. What? Her head is never still when I'm doing her hair!

Looking at Shama always fills my heart. She is a tiny girl with big personality like my own lovely Zoey.

Okay okay. That is the most stupendous braid, and I am really impressed. It looks "royal". All Shama needs, now that she has two new thrones, is a diamond bow instead of that fabric one. On second thought, she would outshine any diamond tiara. That face and coat are enough.

We managed to have Shama sit between us for much of the Super Bowl tonight. She likes to chew on the horse hoof we recently gave her, and she also wanted her bully spring nearby . . . (I'm correcting papers between commercials . . .)

Perry's antler (and the Himalyan chew that I give him occassionally) is the only thing that keeps him quiet on the couch right now.
