Havanese Westminster video

Havanese competition was this morning and they have now posted the video if you want to see some beautiful dogs! It runs pretty long but you can fast forward to about 58 minutes or so to see the final selections. It starts with two little girls, about 10 or 12, showing their Havanese. They were as cute as the dogs. (Disclosure: one of Cassie's cousins was in the ring and was "select dog" whatever that means...)

Yes I watched this morning! Some very nice dogs. Always fun to see them strut their stuff!

Lots of product.

Even then... it only stays long enough for them to get around the ring.

My Joy's handler was at 45.37 and 1.17. Kacie Davis, the ginger in the cobalt blue suit. She kissed her dog!

Kacie is great. She handled Panda's sire. I LOVE that she plays with her dogs in the line-up. Cab used to sleep in her bed on the road.

I couldn't send a dog of mine off to live with a handler... My relationship with my dogs is too important to me. But if I were GOING to do it, Kacie is someone I would feel comfortable about.

Cassie was being held back from her litter to be a show dog, but a family situation arose that made them decide to let her go to a pet home. I tell her all the time how lucky she is that she got to live with a family, sleep on beds, play with children, chase cats etc instead of living with a handler, sleep in a dog crate, get taken to strange cities and have to wear long hair all the time.

Kacie said I may be able to drop Joy off. When Kasie next looks at Joy in person I will know more. We are waiting for a bushy, heavier tail to grow in.

Since we are on the subject of pretty redheads, just how spectacular would it look to see Kacie in the show ring with Tom's Punkin from last Fall (or was it late summer) litter or one of Elinor's redheads? I think that combo would silence a stadium. Go Vols.

I know she handles a lot of red hounds.

Kacie was handling Charlotte, GCH CH Luv Bug's Fit For A Queen W DeVita. She was bred by Connie Banitt, who is Loki's breeder. Connie breeds beautiful accomplished dogs. Now, if I can just get Loki to pass his CGC! LOL
