It Has Been Far Too Long

Hi Everyone,
I have not posted since September when we lost Hershey and it has been a bit of a rollercoaster since then. Went through some very rough days, but as time passed it got easier. Though we will never forget little Hershey we are now in a better place and with the help of Hershey's breeder who has been there for us all along the way and constantly in touch we are now in a new phase and with that being said I would like to happily tell you all today we welcomed little 12 week old Quincy into the family. He is a joyful little guy and full of puppy love and fun and just melts in your arms when he is held. His daddy is a therapy dog and our breeder said she chose this little guy for us because he was the most like his dad out of the litter of 5. He is gentle, easygoing and very laidback. Takes everything in stride. He sure did today when we got him home, you would think he had lived here his whole life. He immediately wanted to play with Ollie, who wants nothing to do with him, which was no surprise. He was the same with Hershey, but no worries I know from the past that will change quickly and Ollie will be playing with him in no time. I have attached a couple of pictures of our new baby. I am so glad to be back posting some good news and am looking forward to happy times ahead.

I bet not a week has gone by that I haven't thought of you and your terrible experience and loss. I was going to private message you and ask if you had thought of adding another puppy just last week. Congratulations, and I want you to know that this posting has really lifted my heart.

I want to ditto what Marni said! Iíve thought of you, Hershey, and Oliver often and was hoping you were healing. I am over-joyed that youíve added a new ďadorableĒ little bundle of joy to your family. Nothing like the putter patter of little feet! Quincy is a beauty and I canít wait to watch him grow.

Thank you so very much everyone. Heather, Marni and Christine you made me cry with your heartfelt words and it just warms me to my core to know how much you have thought of us all this time. Safe to say we are in a good place now and today has been wonderful. I picked him up this morning and I have been laughing ever since. Quincy is just so much fun. He bops around like a little bunny, I think he has springs on his feet and he loves to learn. In the six hours he has been here he has learned come, sit and down and he was so joyful doing it. I think we are going to have a good time. Ollie not so much, but he will come around haha.

He's adorable! It's torture losing a beloved family member; we lost our girl last May and I swore I would never put myself through that again. And yet, Patrick somehow found us and we are now building new memories with our little (actually big) Havanese boy
