Wow - no electric fences? We have a wooden fence since the electric fence doesn't keep big animals OUT of the yard. Still, so many people seem to like them. Never worked for me....

I agree with this. I know a lot of people use them, but I'm not for them. My ex had one for his dog and said, he shocked himself to see how bad it was. He said it was bad and he has a high tolerance to pain. I've never lifted and hand to my babies, let alone shocked them! I know when my sister got her Havanese, she had to sign a contract not to use an electric fence. Also, electric fences don't keep dog snatchers away!
