Interviews

Hi everyone

I'm entering the interview stage of my research and I've contacted a few of you directly to participate. Thank you to those who have responded thus far, and thank you in advance to the rest .

However, as I know many people are busy and may not have seen the message and/or visited the forum recently, I wanted to approach all of you this way to see if you would be willing to be interviewed.

I'm anticipating it taking no more than an hour (more likely 30-45 minutes, but if you have less time available, I can be flexible on the time needed) and I can contact you via skype or call you on the phone.

If you are willing to participate, please send me a private message and let me know when the best time would be to interview you. Because of the time difference, I would be available Monday - Thursday between 10am-2pm US Eastern daylight savings time or Friday - Sunday between 7am-2pm. If you could choose a date/ time within that period and let me know if you prefer skype or phone - and your contact information (skype ID or phone number), that would be great.

Thank you

I'm taking a class on ethnographic research techniques. For the class we have to do a project that involves observation and interviews of a group. For the project I'm researching involvement in online social forums - and I'm using this forum for it (with permission from the moderator and the owners).

I posted a message a few weeks ago letting everyone know this - and asking if someone didn't want to be included (i.e. if someone didn't want me 'looking' at their posts for this research) to let me know and I would ignore anything they wrote or said in my paper.

Thanks
Melissa

No, actually (though ethnog is very often used in anthro). This masters is in Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning. The ethnography class is one of the research classes I need to do as part of the thesis track for the programme.
