Switching dog food at almost 7 yrs old.

Hi Everyone,

I have been feeding Tucker Pro Plan since he was a pup. While he has never had a problem eating it, he was also never the biggest eater. Almost as if he eats just bc he has to eat something. Recently my sister got a dog, Asher. He is a little over one now. It seems that each time I bring Tucker over to play with him, Tucker will head for Asher's food and seems to really enjoy it. He is eating Blue Buffalo, small breed adult. I decided yesterday I would take some home, place it next to Tuckers food and see which he goes for. He went for the Blue Buffalo. This morning I mixed the two foods together, and it appears that he picked out and ate almost entirely the Blue Buffalo. Tucker is going to be 7 in July. I suppose I am just wondering if it is alright to switch foods at this age. I would obviously rather him enjoy what he is eating every day. His stool was soft last night and this morning, which I know is to be expected. I imagine that will go away over a week or so should we make the switch. I will, of course, transition the food, though he seems to just pick out what he likes. He is a picky guy. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks everyone!

its recommended to rotate foods ie, protien every 3 months or so , so they don\t develop an allery/intolerance to it. Not a fan of Blue Buffalo ,,, too many recalls etc.
