Has any one found one of these?

Well, November wasn't a very good month for me - first my ll year old car blew up so a new car purchase was made, then last week my 3 year old laptop gave up the ghost, so a new laptop purchase was made.

Today I got the license plates for the new car. I decided that I'd kinda like to get a custom license plate frame that said something like "Happyness is owning a Havaneese" or "I 'heart' my Havanese or "My BFF is my Havanese" something along those lines. Ideally I'd like to have a 'havanese' or similar engraved along with the words. SO, the question is - Has anyone done something similar? I've done some research, and while there's tons of places to buy engraved license's I'm not finding any that can engrave a dog let alone a Havanese along with the wording.

We had a pet British Shorthair Cat (Think the Cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland) and I was able to get an engraved frame (with no cat image) at a arts and crafts fair -- but also got all the time the question "What kind of dog is a "British Shorthair"!

Cheers!

Cheers!

Why not get a vanity plate that says Havanese. If it's available that is.

I haven't seen it. I have seen the I heart my havanese, so would you consider one of those and a sticker like this? http://www.autoplates.com/store/hava...r-p-73062.html

I have had a few of these done with the Two Crazy Ladies http://www.toocrazyladies.com
if you just go to their contact us page you can email them with what you want. They do all kinds of custom things and are very familiar with all breeds of dogs cats horses etc.

I just talked to Beth and Red tonight and so I asked them your question about putting a dog breed on the frame, they said that it can be done but to let you know that it would be very small.

At any rate the main thing they would need to know is what is the main background color that you would want along with what color lettering, also if you would want chrome or black frame, both are metal. The plate frames are $17 and $8 and up for shipping.
You can have up to 18 spaces/characters on the top and 25 on the bottom.

Hope this helps, they also do custom bumper stickers, magnetic signs, and window clings. just to name a few things.

Thanks Trish - Geri - and Heather.

Trish - The Vanity plate is a good idea, but I've already got new plates - I don't know if I can go back to the DMV and get Vanity plates or not.

Geri - Yeah, you found about the same stuff that I did.

Heather - Thanks for that link and for greasing the skids (as it were). I'll go take a look at their web site now.

Cheers!

I don't know how it works in Cali, but up here on Ontario you just fill out the paperwork, pay 'the man' and if they don't deem the plate to be objectionable in any way and no one else in the province has it yet then you get it. Not sure how long it takes for them to actually make it and send it to you though so one does need the generic plate in the meantime. Regular plates are only $10 and those would just go in the shed when the vanities arrived in case they were needed for another car down the road.

Go to General Discussion forum and look up Havanese car vinyl. That's what I did. I know after I posted it a few forum members did the same. The company is on line at Snickerdoodles (how fitting for you).
