What a big boy! (Literally)

Oliver is 13 weeks old and, as of this morning, weighs 6.8 lbs!! I know that doubling their 16 week weight can be a good estimate of their adult weight; if he gains .5 lbs over each of the next three weeks, that will put his 16 week weight at 8.5ish lbs.

I know that many of your doggies are much smaller than this. He's not at all overweight. I'm going to assume that it is just fine that he is this big as long as he is healthy, yes? It doesn't signify some underlying health issue?

That's about what Kodi was at the same age. He's a large, but within standard (just) Havanese, at 11.5" and 17 (slim) lbs.

We call him our "lap and a half" dog... more to love.

Karen, Kodi, Pixel and Panda
