Pushing the limits

I always make Ricky wait in the laundry room while I fix his breakfast, otherwise he would be trying to crawl up my leg to get to the counter where his food is! Ricky knows what "laundry room" is and he knows where it is. The laundry room has tile flooring, while the kitchen is bamboo flooring and is clearly defined. I had to take this picture this morning because, yes, Ricky was in the laundry room waiting for breakfast but just barely with his toes right behind the line. The reason he looks so bedraggled is because we are getting some welcome rain and he had just come in from his morning potty and he got a bit wet. He hates the rain!

Yes, they are so smart that sometimes we wonder, who is training who! Ricky refuses to go outside to potty with Momi if I'm at home. He will just hold it. So Momi calls me to take him out and he charges out the door with me and does his thing. Momi asks me, "what's that all about?" I tell her, "it's a guy thing."

Is Ricky giving you a little bit of stink eye there? Saying "Popi, don't take my picture! Fix my breakfast!"

Awwwww! I think he’s saying, “I’m hungry, Popi. Feed me!” He is adorable.

When I let the dogs out for the last time at night, usually they all come in together. But SOMETIMES Pixel plays her "cat-dog" card, and just stands on the deck looking at me. I'll call over my shoulder to tell Dave to call her. Dave will say "Pixel!!!" and in she charges. LOL!

When we're in the US my Mom has a hard time getting Perry to go when she takes him out (in contrast, while it will very occasionally take me more than 5 minutes when I take him out, the majority of the time it's a minute or less). She says "I keep telling him 'potty' like you do but he won't do anything" - so we joke that we need to make a recording of my voice saying it so that she can play it when she takes him out (she only take him out if I'm not home).
