car carrier

I was browsing on Amazon for carriers and ran across this one. I suspect that it's a little big - that there would be a lot of space for them to bounce around/ fly around inside in an accident, but probably better than them being loose.

Maybe if they ever make a 1/2 size one - more Havanese size

Hi Melissa , I keep Ricky strapped in when we travel in the car - for his safety and ours. I use the Kurgo harness for both walkies and car travel (see the "harnesses" thread). The Kurgo comes with a tether about 10" long that loops through a buckled seatbelt. Ricky has a limited space to move around so he can get comfortable yet he is securely belted in with little chance to bounce around in an accident. He is an excellent travelling companion. I strap him into the front passenger seat (be careful of airbag causing injury or turn it off) or the rear passenger depending on whether Momi is travelling with us. I have used this harness for about 4 years now and it is still strong and sturdy. Highly recommended. Don't scrimp on the money, get the "crash tested" version.

We have a new Tesla with white "leather" seats (love the white). The second part of our traveling system is this Funbliss car seat protector:

This seat protector makes keeping the white seats clean, a breeze. Ricky is very comfortable sitting or lying on it.
