Question Fundle Slings?

I just saw a reference to the Fundle sling in another thread and thought I'd ask about them. They look great... but they are expensive! It was particularly appealing because they can be used in the car. I have lots of errands where I could bring him along safely (like taking the kids to/from school and the like), and it looks like the Fundle would keep him safe and secure in the car.

Does anyone have a Hav who did not like the Fundle? I'd hate to spend the $$$ on one only to have him not like it....

I know some people (and dogs) love them, but Kodi hated it from day one. That boy likes walking on his own 4 feet, thank you very much.. He's also on the larger side, and was a big baby. He quickly got to the point that we didn't WANT to carry him around on a regular basis.

Anyone want a (not very used) Fundle?

I got a fundle for Christmas. It is Bella's least favorite carrier. Her favorite is the carrier I got at a flea market! It has 4 holes for her legs, and she lies on her belly. It has straps and is carried over the shoulder like a purse. It is my favorite carrier. If you sew, it would be so easy to make. It's like these:

I am very interested in this thread as I have been looking for a carrier/purse thing for awhile... found one, but Tillie HATED it, so I took it back. sigh, When she was little we carried her in an Outward Hound front carrier, I am thinking she might do better in a carrier, like a sling type over the bag/purse. I wouldn't use it often, but sometimes, so she can come into a craft store with me, or if we are somewhere where it isn't safe for her to be down. Does anyone have a sling? What kind? Does your Hav enjoy it? or TOLERATE it, at least?

Obviously, I haven't used it yet, but I got the Outward Hound sling for the period when Toro is still getting vaccinated.

I also made a baby sling, which is something my sister used when she got her puppy. The one I made is pretty small (I measured incorrectly) so I'm not sure how well it will work.

I bought a fundle for Cocotini- she hated it- wouldn't get in it at all. So I have a beautiful, expensive sweet pea unused sitting in my closet. I am hoping maybe Candy will like it. I'll need to stuff something in the bottom for her, though, as she is so tiny.

Cocotini doesn't like to be confined in any type of carrier-even if she is partly sticking out like the fundle. She has also gained some weight and is pretty heavy for me to carry- I think she may be 9 pounds now!!
What is really nice about the fundle if you have a dog that likes it is it is extremely lightweight.

I just bought the Pet Gear travel lite stroller for Cocotini as it is super light and easy to fold into a small space. I also have a larger stroller, but don't use it quite as much. I used it a lot for Truffles when he was too old and feeble to walk and he wanted to go on walks with us.

I also just bought a Kwigy Bo bag for Candy- the Alex Luxe style. It really does look like a purse and I think I could bring her in places and they wouldn't even realize I have a dog.I really love this bag. Candy can fit in the small size (only 3 and 1/2 pounds), but a smaller size Hav could fit in the larger size bag.I can't remember what the upper limit pounds are on the large size. The whole country seems to be sold out of the large size, but they are due in sometime this month.

I wish that was me in the picture. Tight abs!
I just got this for Bella. It was so cheap. It's an original PUPPY PURSE. I hope it's not too big. I went on their website for size info and it should work well. These are her favorite types of carriers.

I've never tried a puppy purse- may have to look into one. I was thinking of trying a Hot Dog carrier which many people on the Maltese forum like. They come in large enough sizes for our Havs, too. and they look pretty comfy!
