Thank Heavens for potty boxes!!!

Woke up to 14" of wet, heavy snow, and three dogs crossing their legs. We were, fortunate to have a 6" strip outside the French doors where it wasn't too deep for them to get through, so they all peed, but not really enough room to poop.

We had breakfast, then went out to clear snow... a LONG process on our large property. My job is the walks, steps, deck, and porches, while Dave does the snow blowing, both our very long driveway with the tractor and also the "Kodi Canyon Speedway" for the dogs in the backyard. He's still working on that, but I got done with the shoveling and came in to find three small, neat piles in the litter boxes. Good dogs!

Wow! Do you usually get snow so late in the year? We actually got a bunch of snow about a month ago. Really strange for us to get so much so late.

Sounds exactly what happened to us in the Pacific NW. We usually get a little snow sometime between December and January, but we only got a few flakes in the air. My daffs were coming up. Rhubarb was starting to show. We were starting to think about gardens and then WHAM! It started to snow and didn't stop. Probably got around 2-1/2 feet when we would normally have maybe 4 to 6 inches in a typical year, but never this late. Plus it's been so cold it hasn't melted yet! Ugh! Can't wait for spring!

You are lucky that you got your dogs indoor potty trained! Wished Willow was. I didn't even realize you could do that, but then Willow wasn't a puppy either when we got her.

Skye loved the snow. When it finally started to melt off he would ignore the grass and hop up on a pile of snow to do his business I guess he has already adopted my contrarian personality

My guys don't mind the snow either, but they need to be able to either get THROUGH it or walk ON it. This was too deep for the first, and not NEARLY crusty enough for the second. It was in the 40's for the next 2 days, and is now back in the 20's, so has a nice solid crust, and everyone is happily skating around on top. Here is Kodi when he was younger, at about the limit of depth... and a couple of other "snow day snennanigans" But 14" is over EVERYONE'S heads here... They would need periscopes. LOL!

But no, they are not afraid of a little snow.

They look like they are having so much fun!

I do feel a little guilty now. Our Hav does love the snow (I like to think maybe thatís why he doesnít want to poop in it) but I donít let him run around in it much because his legs always end up tangled afterwards so I have to groom him again. The next time we have a Saturday with snow i will let him play in it and then he can take a bath to warm up and condition out the tangles.

That's funny! Willow does that too. We have a pile from where we shoveled the deck off and she'll get on top of that pile to poop! Makes it easier to find.

I thought we were starting to warm up a bit and lose some of this doggone snow. But yesterday it started up again! Ugh! We didn't get a whole lot - 3 inches maybe. But now it's snowing again this morning. I'm sooooooooo ready for spring.
