Bark Off - does it work???

Has anyone tried the Bark Off product? It's a $10 product that is suppose to emit an ultrasonic sound when the dog barks. The sound is undetectable by human, only by dogs. I am skeptical because it received really crappy reviews on Amazon but there are dozen of websites with positive reviews. Although those websites seem sponsored by Bark Off...

I don't know about Bark Off, but I have the PetAgree. It was probably $20 and it works, especially of you use it correctly.

I'm more into the positive reinforcement camp. The only time I use anything electric is outside with our electric fence because a 4 lane highway is 1/2 block from our house. None of my girls needed more than one shock. Now they hear the beep and they back away from our property lines...and only then about once every three months when I put the collar on as a reminder. Actually, I just dangle the collar from their regular collar so, even if they got too close, they don't get a shock--just the beep!

The PetAgree is not electric, no shocks are given to the dogs. It's like a dog whistle but it is battery operated. You hold it in your hand and press a button and it's supposed to emit a high-pitched sound only dogs can hear. I would never use an electric shock on my dogs.
