Ear Mite Treatment

Tina appears to have ear mites, she shakes her head often and seems to be scratching at them. I tried a product by DOGMD but so far it doesn't seem to be working. Can anyone suggest a product that works for eliminating ear mites? Thanks.

Has a vet diagnosed mites? Otherwise these same symptoms could indicate bacterial or fungal ear infection. Molly had both present at once when her ears were infected. This required several rounds of treatment with antibiotic and antifungal ear meds prescribed by the vet. They would have to look at an ear swabbing under a microscope to properly diagnose.

My puppy developed an irritated ear which she was scratching at very carefully. First the vet gave us a mild steroid ear drop but she still had some redness after a week or two so she ended up with antibiotic ear drops. It was very challenging to get any type of drops in her ears. Doing it quickly before she knew what was happening was the best strategy. Good luck but I agree the vet should help sort out your remedy.
