I read the article that Dave linked to and I know that there has long been a debate about the value of bordetella vaccinations and whether kennel cough is so minor that the risk of vaccination outweighs the benefits, but there was a line in this article that jumped out at me that I wanted to highlight in case it gets missed.
ď Since a serious episode of kennel cough can result in pneumonia, if your dog doesnít start to improve on her own within about a week, the coughing becomes progressively worse, she develops a fever or stops eating, itís very important to make an appointment with your veterinarian.ď
i know everyone needs to research and do their own risk/benefit anaylsis, but if things go bad, heed this advice as well.
