Ultrasonic Dental Cleaner - Any experience or advice?

In reading old threads, I saw this mentioned. Not sure if they were referring to the home devices that I see on Amazon or something that is used during a vet dental cleaner? But they felt that it lead to future tooth problems. Any experiences welcome!

Went back and reread the discussion I remembered. It was Tom King that said never to let your vet do an ultrasonic cleaning.
I did see some home ultrasonic cleaning devices for dogs on Amazon. I wish I knew if they were safe.
I am really afraid to get the dental cleaning done. I had a bad experience with my previous dog. Shadow is only 2yrs., 2 months and has a loose tooth. My groomer says it is factured not decayed. He has a very strange bite and lots of tartar.
