I think in the 3 years he's been alive he's torn up 1 regular piece of paper and maybe 2-3 tissues - but they were things that were already lying on the floor and had been for a while. there are tissues in the open garbage can in the bathroom and sometimes the toilet paper unrolls and touches the floor but he won't even touch it. I even have a book shelf where the bottom shelf is ground level and the most he did (in his first month with me) was tear a tiny piece off the edge of a book from the spine, and that was already loose :0 So, yes, I'm very lucky. (He's also never even thought about chewing on a shoe which are either on the floor by the door or on the shoe rack at Havanese-face level )

Mine gets shoes and brings them as an invitation to go out. He has chewed really rubbery flip flops if theyíre left out, maybe 2-3 times.

We donít have to be quite as careful if a sheet of paper falls of the counter or something, but if he was in a room alone with toilet paper for 5 minutes it would be completely destroyed and he would be so proud and happy! Iím not sure what it is, either, because it doesnít make the same satisfying tearing sound.

Since we no longer throw away meat related food of any kind in the kitchen trash, the only thing he takes out of it are the empty cardboard sleeves of the Sargento cheese and nut snacks DH eats for breakfast, if theyíre near the top. We let him run off with it, though. He just sits and smells it and rips it up a little. Those make a great sound, if i tear a piece for him his tail goes crazy and he runs in circles to play!

We put the toilet paper on the top of the toilet to deter her, but yesterday, she jumped up on the toilet seat to go get it. It’s such a silly thing for which to ask for help, but I don’t understand why after all this time we are fighting the toilet paper attraction again. And how long will this phase last?
Patti (18 most) has stopped bothering the toilet paper - Fingers Crossed - but won't stay out of the bathroom trash can, so I resorted to putting it in the bathtub. Recently, she has started jumping into the bathtub. I wonder too - when does this stop.

Tucker is 12.5 years old, and I have to put the bathroom trash cans on top of the toilets in my house, and any other home we go to.

Ha! Ha! Funny thread! I'm just thankful Willow doesn't jump up on the toilet seat to get the roll on the top of the tank! We never use the holders anymore.
