Willow's groomer really keeps her shaved quite close. In fact I even asked to vet if it was too close. She said it should be ok although they can get nicked once in awhile. That wasn't Willow's problem though because it had been several weeks since the groomer. I just wish I knew for sure what her problem was. She would have a fairly normal amount of pee when we took her out first thing but after that she kept trying to pee and would remain in the squat forever. I'm not even sure she was producing anything on these tries.
Very strange! Glad she's feeling better now! We were two days away from home, and because I was lecturing, going home wasn't an option except in a life-or-death emergency. I just felt bad leaving Dave by himself with a sick (peeing everywhere) 7 month old puppy all day! LOL!

If it makes you feel better, both Pixel and Panda have each a UTI "thing" ONCE and never again. I've been told they are somewhat more common in females.

No accidents after that, but then again the minute he approached the door on Sunday I let him out (and he peed) - which is also unusual as he doesn't usually go out that often.
Melissa - How is Perry doing? Hope he's back to normal! I haven't seen another pee accident in the house from Willow.

No more accidents from what I can see (hubby or housekeeper haven't mentioned any from yesterday) - but we're going to finish off the yogurt container just in case

Good Grief!! Something else to worry about. How does one cut the hair on "lady bits?" Patti is very sensitive about her butt when combing or clipping in that area.

I just use the same, small cordless clippers I use for clipping around their paw pads. You aren't looking for a surgical shave, just removing the long hair.
