Just keep an eye on them when they start to get small enough to swallow when you arenít looking at your puppy. cassie could demolish one very quickly and did not like to give them up. We bought the curled kind that she could hold better. We started limiting chew time when it seemed like over doing it on a bully stick might have been related to some stomach issues. I know some people recommend harder things, but I liked the bulky sticks because there was almost no chance of breaking a tooth on one of them...as a grown up, she has no interest in them any more (thank goodness as they smell) but gave her many happy hours as a pup. Now she really likes frozen kongs with little bits of food inside. She works on those for a long time.
