Favourite Toy These Days...

Eddie is a 10 year old rescue. We’ve had him 2 years now and he really is just starting to thoroughly enjoy playing and acting goofy (he has dealt with significant anxiety). We’ve had the same toys for a long time and I’d like to get something new....what are your Hav’s favourites these days? I’m looking for inspiration!

Eddie doesn’t really like balls...but loves to chew, chase/catch and destroy stuffies, and is now enjoying some tug-o-war!

Mine was afraid of balls but has come around a bit on that - as long as they arenít big! He has a ďsnowballĒ toy he loves, itís like a plush toy with s ball inside so it doesnít bounce very high or fast.

His favorite toys are the burrow toys. I always get Zippy Paws, but there are other brands. Some he likes more than others - the penguins I have bought multiple times, and the strawberry waffles are his other favorite. They are small and easy to squeak, and we play fetch with them. They wear out after a while but they are inexpensive enough I donít mind, they are really pretty decent quality considering how much my dog chews on them and how much they are outside.

Just now when I looked up the brand link http://https://zippypaws.com/product...h-toys/burrow/
I found this one I donít remember seeing before and ordered it. I often find them at Home Goods and Amazon, too. I might have to clean out the toy bin!

I just remembered the banana and monkey one he liked playing tug with, and the mailbox, even though they arenít really tug toys. He didnít like the monkeys as much but Iím almost positive itís because they are the same color as our floors and he couldnít really see them.

Willow also likes the Zippy Paws toys. I got her the coffee mug and doughnuts last year. She has a similar toy that she doesn't like as well. It's the plush log toy with squirrels. It's not Zippy Paws and for some reason she ignores it. She also likes the squeaky snake I got from Amazon. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's obnoxiously loud and that's probably why she likes it!

Ooh, i think mine would love a snake with squeakers! He loves toys that are long enough to whip around, but I donít think heís had one thatís both long and has a squeaker. Iíll have to check that out.

Cassie is still madly in love with her log with squirrels (or are they chipmunks?) toy. I keep it in my home office and whenever I am on a long conference call she pulls it out, rolls the log and digs out the creatures, tosses them in the air and entertains herself quite well. She then drags the squirrels/chipmunks all over the house (leaving them for me to pick up...never picks up her toys!). It really has been a great, long lasting toy.

This is the one we have...there are different brands on market, this one a little different from zippypaw model.

Kong Balls are a little bit squeaky, soft and small enough a small dog can carry it around in their mouth. They're about the size of a golf, a bit smaller. My dog loves to carry those around and play fetch. She's been doing this since a baby and instinctively brought the ball back to be thrown again. An easy throw toy that can be played with in the house.

Elk Antler Split and Whole Chews ... is something Patti chews on every morning. They're safe and dogs love to nibble on the bone marrow and it helps clean their teeth. They last long time and when they get too thin and start breaking off I throw them away.

My daughter has a Goodle-doodle who has always had to hide her head under a table or something else and stays hidden through out the day. She's now 7-years old and is finally coming out of her shell. A lot of it has to do with a new puppy in the house and probably age. It's really good to see Lucy out and about ... not acting so fearful.
