Bedtime wear

Ok, I know this is a really silly question but I'm wondering if anyone puts pjs or a blanket on their dog at night? Eli sleeps with me in my bedroom and I try to keep it cool (about 67-69 degrees) so DH and I sleep more comfortably. We're covered with a down comforter so we're warm and cozy, but I sometimes wonder if Eli gets cold since he doesn't move around much. He sleeps on a shearling pad in his crate. DH says I'm crazy; that Eli sleeps in a fur coat and is quite comforable in a cool room but I can't help but worry. I was the same with my kids, always worried they were too hot or cold. So, what do others do?

I would tend to agree with your DH - not that you are crazy - but that Eli is in a fur coat and should be fine at those temps. That is the temp we keep our house at most of the time. Augie, at least, prefers cooler temps to being too warm. He will sometimes even go lay on the cool tile in front of the door where there is a slight draft at times.

Whimsy seems comfortable on top of the bed with no covers on....I keep the room cool too. Sometimes during the day she will lay on the bare tile by the front door... the coldest place in the house during the winter. Other times she will snuggle on her fleece blanket on the kitchen floor. She always seems to know how to make herself comfortable as far as temps go.

I often wonder the same thing!! Maggie sleeps in the living room in her crate on the same shearling thing you describe. She has a blanket on top of it though, I feel like that keeps the warmth in more.

great question. I always wondered about Molly too. We have it around 67 degrees. and whenever I threw her blankie on her in the middle of the night, she would crawl out from underneath it. I think they can take them temps just fine.

I have always wondered the same thing. What's really funny is that Charlie actually goes over to our sliding glass door and goes behind the curtains in our bedroom to sleep. I am sure he likes being covered by the curtains, but it's so cold by the door!!

Stella sleeps just fine on top of my bed in a cooler bedroom. Sometimes she does burrow down into the covers though.
When we visit my DD in CT, I put a sweater on her at bedtime because they keep their house so cold.

Kodi sometimes crawls under the blanket with me when I take a nap. Within a short period of time, I hear him panting, and then shortly thereafter, he crawls out to lie on top. He likes being cozy for a while, but pretty soon it's too much!

Hmmm...I've never given it a thought. Mine seem to like it cool, the hairy beasts. Might be what type of climate they get used to though.
