Havanese pain reactions

My Jakki at just 6 months got spayed a few days ago. I assume her jumping, bucking and running in circles all contorted is when she is experiencing pain? Anyone else observe similar?

I've only had one girl spayed, but she wouldn't MOVE when she was in pain. I had to carry her around on a pillow for over a week. If you TOUCHED her, she SCREAMED!

But if you are concerned, I'd talk to the vet. When I called the vet, they prescribed stronger pain meds for her. They made her sleepier, but she clearly needed them. It was very obvious to me when she needed less, because I could go longer and longer between doses without her extreme symptoms returning. So I'd say, talk to your vet!

Do you have a way you can contain her, such as a crate or ex pen? If she’s already antsy, whatever the reason, it may be easier to keep her from running and jumping if she spends a little more time confined. I found that training can really wear out a puppy, so if she just has excess energy, maybe spend there’s a training goal you could work on? The other thing that wore my puppy out were nose work games.

I hope your vet can help, too! I have a boy so it’s different, but he still wasn’t trying to run around after just a few days.
