Will littermates feel bonded when re-introduced?

I don't think there's any scientific documentation re this topic, but just wondering about anecdotal experience. My son and I always wanted to get litter mates someday-he lives a few hours away but will be moving back in my area in a year. He's considering a puppy that'll be ready to go in March. He's already met the breeder at a show. There are 6 puppies in the litter and I'm wondering if I should pursue getting one of these puppies as well. The timing isn't ideal as I was thinking more in early summer, but there's no guarantee I'll be able to get a female puppy from a reputable breeder in that time frame either. My husband thinks we should go for it now (with getting one with my son) as the puppies will feel a familial bond which'll help us to "puppy sit" each others dogs someday when we go on vacation. This particular breeder gets high scores from the folks on this forum so I know she's very reputable.

Any thoughts on this?

My older two have not had the opportunity to meet their siblings, but Panda has and she definitely gets along well with them. On the other hand, ALL of mine get along great with ALL the other Havanese that they know, and have a number of "special friends" that they see more often. (because they belong to friends of MINE!) Havanese, in general are social little dogs, and they tend to really like others of their own kind. I don't think you need to have siblings to have two young Havanese that get along with each other!

They recognize each other, but there is no difference in getting along with them than any other Havanese. We've seen this Many times, as we keep a lot of dogs, for their owners, that were born here, when the owners have to travel.

My Havanese sense when I love people and love those people most. I think I would be partial to any of their siblings I meet and that would be sensed as well. That being said I agree with Karen and Tom that these dogs are social and playful in general. They like all doggies, unless you get one poorly socialized to dogs, which is rare but possible.. That last would unlikely in a pup from a reputable breeder.
