We generally don't have any testing done unless there's an issue that is presenting until they hit that older stage. We have our baseline blood panel and that's about it, so if we notice anything off we have something to compare to. But I'm also the type that is pretty vigilant and will notice when things seem a little off and have no qualms with getting to our vet. We caught PLN in our wheatie at an extremely early stage because I noticed he was drinking more, but not peeing more. I didn't wait until his wellness exam, I booked him in that week.
Once Denver hits that middle age, we'll redo the blood panel for a new baseline and then once he's a senior, the blood panel/urinalysis will get done yearly.
