still around

Hi Everyone

Just wanted to let you know that I haven't fallen off the face of the planet My Mom's been ill and in the hospital for a few months, so between coordinating with my sisters and her doctors (with me in Kampala, my husband at home at the hospital with Mom) plus work, school (one online class) and Perry driving me nuts because he totally does NOT think he needs to be on running/ jumping restriction any more (please let the vet decide at his Dec 17th checkup that he can run and jump as he'd like!), I haven't had much time for online stuff .

Otherwise, we're doing fine. Perry seems completely healed, but we're waiting for final confirmation before he's off restriction (though the sneaky bugger has taken advantage of a leash dragging on the floor once or twice to jump on the bed or couch).

I hope your mom feels better soon. Thatís got to be hard.

The part about Perry is funny, though. I have to ask. How does having a leash on the floor help him jump onto the bed or couch?

The 17th sounds so far away. . . . Hereís sending good thoughts that the doctor takes Perry off restrictions on that day. Youíre being a good mom!!

Hi Jeannie
The leash on the floor doesn't help him jump... the fact that I dropped the leash (while doing something else) and he sneaked off while the "tether" was not directly connected to me is what "helped" (aka allowed) him to jump

When he's not in his crate he's meant to be tethered to me so he doesn't run or jump... but sometimes I drop the leash to do something for just a second and he sneaks away to get on the couch or the bed at that time.
