Nina Ottosson toys

Does anyone have any Nina Ottosson toys for their dogs? If so which ones would you recommend to best work their brain but not frustrate them?

Piper has Spinny and Brick. The Spinny is rated easy and she learned it pretty quickly. She still likes it but can do it so quickly, we don't play with it much anymore. Brick is harder (but not too hard) and she loves it. She hasn't gotten tired of it and gets excited everytime she sees the box. I'm thinking about getting her one of the advanced ones now.

I highly recommend these toys and I think I would start with one that is rated easy so Lizzie doesn't get frustrated. Once they get the idea of how the games work, the others come easier. They are expensive but I'm glad I got the easy one for her to learn on.

Hi Julie, Do you have the plastic or wooden Spinny? I am thinking I will get the plastic one. The Brick was the one I was looking at, but I will start easy like you suggest.

I got the plastic ones because I wanted to be able to clean them. I'm glad I did because not only is there food but she licks the little treat boxes after she's emptied them. They are a durable plastic so you don't have to worry about them getting broken.

If Lizzie has ever done puzzles before or is good at figuring things out, I think you can start with the Brick. I have a friend who had it and Piper didn't play with it because she could not understand it. That's why I got Spinny-once she figured that out she was able to do Brick.

Nala has the Dog Brick in plastic and the Casino in wood. I prefer the plastic and have stuck it in the dishwasher. She can open the Casino drawers but she couldn't get the big Pegs on top out, I think because of size.

She loves these toys and people love to watch how fast she can do them!

How much more challenging is Casino than Brick? I was thinking of getting Casino next. Do you think getting the plastic version would make it easier to get the big pegs out?

Thanks for this thread. I am always trying to find a challenging toy for Sophie. I just ordered brick in plastic from Amazon.

I bought my dogs the Brick puzzle (plastic) for Christmas. They love, love, love it!!!! They all play with it-even all together. I would not get the easier one as you can leave out the middle "bones" on the brick puzzle to start them easier. Then add 2 "bones" and then finally all 4" bones." they all figured it out pretty quickly, although Cocotini struggles the most with the center bones, so for the price of the puzzles I would skip the beginner one as this one was pretty easy-at least for my dogs.

Tillie's Mom-not really sure how to post a link. Just google Nina Ottosson. BTW I just started Lizzie on Angel's Eye's. I could not take it anymore and she was just groomed and that hair was cut off. I noticed that Tillie has the same issue with the left eye as Lizzie. Nothing else I had tried was working.

Thanks to all about the toy info. I think I will get the brick to start off with. There was another one that I forget the name, but I might get that one for my cat. He is sooooooo bored with the weather. He loves it outside and can't do much with the snow. He is very intelligent and I think this would be good for him.
