Dog Show Purchases for Valentines Day

The Indy Winter Classic Dog Show is this weekend and we went today. I got to catch up with Megan (Casper Keep) and Jen (Ivy Hills) and of course had to see all the Havies there!

With Valentines Day coming up soon DH was willing for me to SHOP!!! (Saves him from guessing what I want.....)

I got the Chris Christensen Kool Pup Dryer (in green) that I've been coveting for soooo long! Can't wait to give Beau his bath tomorrow and give it a try. I also got the "arm" that holds the dryer hose while you brush - and the static free pin brush (the one with the brass pins).

I bought some Crown Royale Magic Touch Grooming Spray: http://www.crownroyaleltd.net/index.html to tray also.

We bought some bones for Daisy and Beau from Christi's Canine Cafe: http://thecaninecafe.com/storefront/index.php?cPath=22 and some treats from Casey's Hidden Pantry: http://caseyshiddenpantry.com/treats.html

For new toys, we got Invincibles: http://www.kyjen.com/shop/index.php/...vincibles.html They still squeak even when the "squeaker" has holes in it! They had a same of one (out of the snakey thing....) with about 20 holes punched in it and it still works! Hope this will be one Beau doesn't destroy.

The other toy we bought is a "Tail Teaser". http://www.properpet.com/kyjen-pp02290.html

Our final splurge is meant for outside on the deck this summer. We bought two "cabana beds" for lounging on the deck. I guess all this SNOW has us dreaming of warmer weather! http://www.cabanasunscreens.com/cabanabed.html Daisy was willing to give it a try - but Beau is still shying away from his cot!

I feel totally SPOILED! But as DH pointed out - Daisy and Beau got all the Valentines Days presents this year!!

PS - Don't know why the one pic comes out on the wrong side.... I can't get it turned....

I'm sure NEITHER of them will be thrilled with the hair dryer...

We have two of the Invincibles - but they both want the same one, of course!

I feel spoiled! I've been talking about getting a force dryer for a long time - and reading all the posts about them..... I hope they get used to it and it speeds up drying them....

You will love your forced air dryer. I had an old airforce one that I bought when they first came out and was really spoiled when it finally blew it's last breath and I was using a hand dryer. It took all of about a month before I replaced it.

I would love to have that dryer. Your hole set up is very nice. I went to a dog show today and got shampoe and conditioner . And a show lead . I don't think I like the show lead it is a thin chain one and it seems to tight on zoey when she pulls Other people showed me cloth ones. Does anyone know what one is better for training?

DH always sends flowers - but he's always at a loss for a gift beyond that! When we were younger, he did jewelry gifts. One year, we were in Hawaii in January and I admired a pearl necklace at NaHoku. After we got home, he ordered the necklace and had it shipped to our daughter's house so I wouldn't know! Since I'm on a SERIOUS diet - he wouldn't sabotage me with chocolate LOL! So the dog show shopping was wonderful!

I'd been wanting the dryer for a long time - and was glad he didn't balk when I told him how much it was. After all - (as I told him....) I save tons of money doing my own grooming, but really need good equipment to cut own on the time required!

He loves Daisy and Beau too - and spoils them as badly as I do. Last summer the deck would get warm and we talked about getting cabana cots for this summer... I liked these because you can easily change out the fabric if it wears out.

I feel spoiled! I'm pretty much thrilled with my Valentine's Day purchases! Wooo-hooo
