Sophie in our beautifully tended back yard

A few pics of playing with Sophie in our yard. As you can see, I keep it well watered and perfectly groomed. LOL.

HA! It has DEFINITELY been dry there!!! Our back yard is still growing like a hayfield... and we NEVER fertilize or water.

As usual... GREAT photos!!! <3

Oh my gosh Dee Dee, those photos are fantastic! What a pretty girl. Thatís how Jodie started out before changing colors. I was hoping she would not change. Mostly because I already had to clean 4 eyes every day but now that IĎbe been doing it for well over a year Iím use to it. I still love Sophieís coat though💖

LOL I never water either it is SO expensive. And it always comes back with the fall rains.

As for my flower beds..I have no excuses! I guess I should say dirt beds.

It is so dry here too literally the states of Washigton and Oregon are burning up! Epic fires everywhere wiping out towns. I am not even walking Sophie for the next three days or so until the air quality improves. And we strictly stick to our daily walk routine no matter what. Jaja are you guys safe down there?

I had hoped Sophie would silver out to Jodie's color! But I think she's about done all she's going to, maybe fluctuate a little either way. Here is a photo of Sophie's uncle Toby. He had silvered to this point by the age of 3 and I think hasn't really changed much since.

Boy, he sure has her impish grin!!! What a cutie!

I'm SO sorry about the fires. I didn't realize that Oregon and Washington got that dry. I thought that was mostly a California thing!

Oh my, what a handsome guy! Did you get Sophie in Washington?
We donít water our back yard either because as you said, it always grows back. The only effective method to keep it green is just too risky for our babies. I have a collection of flower baskets on the deck that my husband waters to distract from our neighbors in the back. We also have a variety of dirt beds😆 Ed hasnít been walking Jodie and Cotton either. We can see the sun today but we had a couple of smoky days that felt like foggy winter and it smells! 🤢 Are you still in Washington? Your post says 5:59 pm but itís only 5:31 pm on my laptop. Iíve noticed that before with posts from CA.
Now I want to run my hands through Sophieís uncle!

Great photos! I just love it when you post photos Dee Dee.

It's crunchy here too. Kind of scary with all the trees around us, and only one way out for us. The other day the smoke in the air was so bad I didn't even walk Willow. I don't think I've ever seen or heard of fires in Western WA like what has been happening lately. I've lived here all my life too.

I sure hope everyone is safe here in Washington, Oregon and California.
