I've noticed over the past month or so Tillies pink skin on her belly and chest is turning a light brown color.... is this normal? anything I need to be concerned about? Any one else experience this?

yep. she had a pink tummy and now she has these light liver colored spots on it. Some of them are dime size. Lizzie will be 11 months on the 28th. Lizzie and Tillie have the same coloring.

Has she been spayed?

I remember my friend experiencing something similar with her "Mal-Shi", but it was shortly after she was spayed.

It is amazing how much attention we give our Havs and we notice every little thing.

I noticed the freckling on Dexter's skin (belly) when he was younger. His belly is all one color now. I did study his skin....and I looked at the skin areas and discovered the skin is light where the white hair is and a gray where the black hair is on the skin.

I would think as long as the skin area is not red, irritated, draining, or has swelling, it would not be anything to worry about.

When we adopted our rescue dog, Buffy, and brought her to Petsmart for a bath, the groomer called her skin pattern "Bichon skin." Her belly is very pink with brown splotches.

When we brought home Buster at 5 /12 months, his belly skin was a paler pink with brown splotches, too.

I'm sure that it is normal and nothing to worry about.

In Shih Tzus they call it skin staining only on them it can come all over their body not just the tummy. Yogi and Misty have no spots.
