has your have been in a pool of water?

am i the only one out there whose Hav has never been in a pool of water? i read somewhere you should have a baby pool in your back yard in the summer for your dog to cool himself during hot summer days. the only water Django has been in is the utility sink when he's getting groomed!

i don't know how he would react. it's still winter here but as i am dreaming of spring and summer, i thought about maybe incorporating a baby pool for d.

Augie has not been in a pool of water either. It usually doesn't get extremely hot here during the summer although we may get a week of heat two or three times during the summer. Augie definitely does not like the heat and, on those hot days, I will let the hose with a nozzle set on a spray run slowly on a drier patch of the yard (so I can water it at the same time) and he will jump in that and nip at the hose and race around until he is totally wet. It is obvious that he feels much better then, as it perks him right up. I need to make an effort to bring the kiddie pool out and see if he would like that.

Also am dreaming of spring and summer! Am far behind on my late winter outside work - it has been so wet, but today looks like I MAY be able to get out and do a little.

It's too cold now, but when it warms up (and Picasso grows up a little) I'm going to see if he likes to swim in the ocean! That should create a need for a bath for sure!

The pool sounds like a great idea. I can't imagine but what Django would love it.

By the way, "littlebuddy", I find myself calling Picasso "Lil' Buddy"!

Dizzie in the pool.

This is Dizzie's idea of going in the pool! He does however go in the sea, just for a paddle about which he loves so does Nellie.

Kodi has been in our big pool, but he doesn't love it. We've just done it enough with him to make sure he's "pool safe" (knows how to swim, doesn't panic, and knows where to get out)

He LOVES the sprinkler in the back yard, and loves to play in the edge of the water, either at a lake or the ocean. He's not too keen on having his feet off the bottom though.

clare, Dizzie looks like he's living the life on that float! Henry has never been in a pool of water.

Yes Dizzie knows how to take it easy! He can swim, we checked that out, but as Karen said, he like Kodi likes to have his feet on the bottom.

Yes, indeed. She has been in the pool a few times, although..not her favorite place, but since we have a pool, I thought it was important she know how to swim and where the stairs are at.

I wish she liked it more
