There's a new puppy at my house

HI All,
I just thought I would come visit Havanese Forum and see what's up. I haven't been here in a long time and I wanted to say hi. Also, I have some happy news. My beautiful Hav girl Inky whelped a new puppy girl yesterday. Inky is Ch Jolain's Good Vibrations who has been my special baby since I adopted her from Joan Little in 2002. The sire of the puppy is Ch Liveoak's Free Will, who was BISS at the 2006 Havanese Club of Southern CA Specialty. The puppy girl's name is Aviva's Will You Be Mine (Willa), named after her sire Will. She and Inky are doing pretty well. Anyway, hello and good-by! I'll be back soon........

Oh, she's so teeny, but she looks absolutely beautiful for being so young!

(Are you sure you won't be there Saturday or Sunday???)

Thanks! From Karen, Inky, and Willa

Hey, thanks for saying hello everyone and for the sweet comments about Willa. She was delivered by C-section yesterday. We knew that Inky was expecting a singleton and since she had an emergency C-section with her last litter, the vet felt it was best for her to plan a C-section this time. All is well with Inky and Willa, although I have to say that it's been harder on Inky this time around. This is definitely her last puppy. I'm planning to have her spayed just as soon as Willa is weaned.

This has been a crazy year for me. I've been going to school full time while working full time.....not something I planned to do, but something that the state of California decided I needed to do in order to keep my job. I have about 7 more pages of lesson plans to write (out of a total of 150 pages I've handwritten so far) and then I am done! Yeaaaaaa! I can't wait to get my life back! I'm sure my dogs are going to be really happy too. I know they sense how stressed I've been, but at least the end is within sight now. I should have all this work mailed in by Monday and then we're going to celebrate at my house! You will probably see me on Havanese Forum a little more often once this school work is over.

Talk to you guys soon!

Karen

I know I already told you by e-mail last week, but I am so glad the end is in sight for you. I can't even imagine the load you've been carrying with the additional studying and homework you've had to do besides just working and trying to lead a normal life.

Thank goodness, that light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter.

And I hope to see Willa in person soon!

Thanks, Kimberley

I guess I found out that even though I'm a whiner, I'm a survivor too! These were all independent study courses I was taking, 140 hours of DVD's and written assignments. I just got through making copies of all my written assignments (heaven forbid they should get lost in the mail on the way to University of San Diego). I can hardly believe that it's almost over and that I actually did this. I hope this is the last hoop that I'm asked to jump through, but you never know when you work in education.

Kimberley, good luck in Lompoc this weekend! I'll be keeping good thoughts for you. I sure wish I could make it, but it sounds fun to stay home with Willa too. What dog are you showing now? I've been showing my newest girl (Liveoak's Sweet Temptation - Tasha) and she has 6 points now. Before I adopted her, I was told that it can be very difficult to finish a black dog. I guess I would have to agree with that now. I really believe in her show quality though, so I'm hanging in there with her. I've had a professional handler on her, but I've decided that I'm going to start showing her myself now that my classes will be done. I think she'll be happier in the ring with me and because of that, her happy-go-lucky personality will come through. I hope we can make it to the South Bay show in August. That's probably a little bit far for you, isn't it Kimberley?

Well, I'd better get to bed. We're doing 2 to 3 hour feedings around the clock so I can't afford to miss any of my sleep!

Take care!

PS I'm attaching a picture of Tasha. See, when I say black, I mean black!

Your Little bundle of joy is Very Beautiful. My god what a sweetheart. I wish we could have had Radar at that age. It would have been so great to have raise him from that age. He really would have been so used to us by 10 weeks. We could have taken all sorts of great shots of him and everything.

Enjoy...........
