neutering surgery this Thursday

My 6 month old pups are going in this Thursday for their neutering surgery. Any tips for me other than keep them as calm as possible, keep them separate from each other and from hard play and give them lots of love. I have Friday off from work. I am just nervous about their surgerys.

Piece of cake, you won't feel any pain other than mental. LOL. Have some canned pumpkin handy in case of diarrhea for the couple of days after. That's for the dogs, not you .LOL Might need a cone, ie. Eliz. collar. See what your vet recommends. Hope it's non eventful. Make that plural ,cones.

LOL!! I think you are correct…….the pups will take it like champs - me on the other hand………..

Thank you – I did not think of having the pumpkin on hand. Have the cones and also have baby onsies as someone recommend to keep them from getting at the incision. Can’t believe I may be putting baby onsies on my pups but then again they are my babies!

Jack is the biggest wuss ever..... I let the vet keep him overnight because we had a big snowstorm the day before and I didn't want him to pull anything. I am so glad I did. I pick him up on a Friday. When the vet called to check on him on Sat., I mentioned that he was whining pitifully and being a total drama queen.

She started laughing and said that he moaned and groaned every time someone walked into the recovery area. Without an audience, he was quiet. Jack is so lucky that he is cute.

I had to put him in an onsie and the cone of shame. He is extremely flexible and actually get to his incisions with the cone on.

TTFN,
Pam

Our baby's are growing up! I think the hard part would be keeping them separated! Let me know how it goes.

I am sure that will be Milo since he is our sensitive one. Tony will be fine!

I am sure they will be fine. I am just nervous since they did not do well when they got the rabies shots. It was a very bad week after. I have Friday off from work and the weekend to pamper them!

I have been preparing them for this and keeping them separated more and more leading up to this. They have their own crates so that will not be a problem. I hope all my prep work pays off!
