I had an m-edge cover for the original, and plan to get one for the 2. I don't like the fact that the smart cover doesn't protect the back.

my hubby got the smart cover but is planning to get a skin from Skinit.com. He just has to decide which pictures he wants to upload onto their template.

Protect the back with a Skin like Gela-skins or Skin-It

Or you can get a leather sleeve to slip it into. Can get pricey depending on whether it's a designer case or not!

The Smart Cover can be wrapped back, like a book, to protect the back when using the iPad. If you are concerned about scratches on the back, I'm with West End Girl's suggestion with skinning it. (I like to keep the iPad thin, non cluttered, and light weight.) I use a sleeve for protection when transporting it in my purse.

Or Decal Girl - - if you don't find one you like under i-pads, look under More Ways to Shop - the Shop by Design . They will make any of them work with any devices...

I like the case found at Cases.com. Piel Frama case. I also have it for my iphone, you can carry your license and debit card in the phone case as well.
