Dumb Question

What constitutes a junior or senior member? Where do these come from? I'm not listed as senior but if we get a discount please enroll me.

Yeah, I would like to know, too! When I joined the forum I had no idea what to put there!

Not funny, a very good question. I don't belong to a lot of forums but I have never seen another one that discriminates between it's members by segmenting them into Junior and Senior status.

I think this has to do with time as a member or number of posts. It does it automatically (or used to).

You don't have to be "old" to get senior statis around here!

No discount for you Dave!

I think once you reach one hundred posts your status changes. If you have added a name or title under your screen name like "Dave T", "senior" does not show. I am okay with not having "senior" associated with my screen name.

I thought it had something to do with length of time on the forum but was never sure. Maybe Melissa M will see this and give us the original version!

That is what I thought too. Although I had no idea how many posts or what length of time, before you were changed from junior to senior member status.

Oh, Dave, you sound just like my husband. Anything for a discount. He signed us up for AARP, just for the discount you get at certain places. I told him if he wanted to be an old fuddy duddy, that was his business, but not to include me, discount or not!!

I really had the impression it was an age thing. Who are the newbies that want to test it out?
