Update on Jammies
For those of you who know Debbie (mom to Jammies) I just wanted to let you know the latest. Recently, Jammies who has had significant heart problems had been having coughing problems. And Deb was suspecting her heart was the problem. Anyway finally after seeing a heart specialist here is Deb's letter to me tonight. I gave Deb **** for not getting on the forum more often and I hope you will echo my sentiments. Here's her letter...
This is what the discharge papers said. Her previous diagnose was Tetrology of Fallot: not left heart enlargement. Essentially STABLE disease at this time with no evidence of decompensation.
Her cough is likely NON-CARDIOGENTIC. Jammies cough does NOT apprear to be associated with heart disease at this time. Other causes of cough can include infectious causes.
We have Doxycycline tablets to give her twice a day for 10 days. This is the antibiotic. We also have cough medicine to give only if needed.
Jammies doesn't have to go back for 6 months unless needed. I told the dr. that I know she can't predict the future, but would she be surprised if Jammies lived another 2 years. She said, "no, not at all. This dog is Miss Personality and you would never know by how she acts that their is anything wrong with her".
I am so relieved!!!
I need to follow up with Sabine because our regular vet said he is VERY happy with Jammies' weight!
Thanks for your concern!
