Introducing Pitsy

Hi Guys,

I wanted to introduce you to our new arrival - Pitsy. He is 14months old and so far Lulu is taking to him quite well. She seems a little subdued but that could be because I have a house full of relatives visiting as well. Pitsy has settled in well and is already a Mummies boy - despite having 7 people in the house he definitely knows I'm his mum.

I think I managed to take a few good snaps despite him being totally black (except for his little grey beard) and in full, full coat. Just debating whether to keep him long or have a trim - it is so hot here I think he will have to have a trim but he looks so good.

Pictures attached of course & some of my beautiful girl Lulu!

What a cutie! Black faces are hard to photograph aren't they? We always had a difficult time getting good pictures of our German Shepherd, Heidi. You managed to get some good ones of Pitsy, and Lulu looks like a real sweetheart!. Congratulations on your new arrival!

I've heard that the long silky coat is made to protect from the heat. I like him in full coat!

Pitsy is beautiful, as is Lulu. I know you're in for some fun times.

Welcome Pitsy! I wonder if Lulu expects him to leave when your guests do?

Thanks Guys, We are really happy - all seems to be going ok at the moment. Making sure Lulu is still getting lots of attention as my boy is very confident and friendly and is following me around like my shadow.

@Pipersmom - that's what we're all thinking - she might have a shock when they all leave!

They have been following each other around this afternoon - it looked like Lulu was giving him the guided tour!

Sorry Whimsy - not sure what he weighs yet. Lulu was 4.8kg (10.5lbs) last time she was groomed I think and I think he is bigger than her - although the coat is quite deceptive. I would guess 6-6.5kg (13-14lbs). he's a big boy!

They look quite different - I've been reading the article on the differences between the 'strains' of the breed - I think they are definitely from different types.

Welcome, Pitsy! He has a BEAUTIFUL coat! Is it a black black or very dark brown/black? Maybe it is the lighting in the photos, but to me, it looks like it has a brown cast and I was surprised to read that he was black. Maybe it is MY eyes - Ha. Anyway, it looks like it is in very good condition, very pretty. And what a cutie Lulu is! I don't tell Augie that a lot of Hav families have TWO OR MORE! He would be so envious!
