a horrible scare!

(everyone's ok

But I am still shaking. Jasper and Cash were playing and Cash's lower jaw got stuck through Jasper's Collar. Jasper was screeching. I mean really screeching. and the more he pulled the tighter his collar got. We both tried to untangle them to get them apart in what seemed like hours but was only probably a minute at most...Michael kept trying to push Cash's Jaw down to get the canine tooth below the leather... but this made Jasper's collar tighter... thank god I didn't see it but Michael said Jasper's tongue was blue and he was choking. He ran up to get a scissors to cut the collar... and right when he did they magically unattached by themselves.

They both seem fine. Thank heavens. They even have already played together again. I was sure Jasper would have stopped playing after that. We had friends over and had to entertain and sit through dinner after that. while keeping an eye closely on Jasper. and making sure Cash's Jaw was ok. But we knew they were both ok when they went around the table begging.

But it was so scary-- and poor Michael has 3 little canine punctures in his thumb where he was pushing down on Cash's Jaw.

Missy,
This is so scary. I was told this is the number 1 cause of collar deaths. I used to buy the break away collars because of this reason but they would break away and fall off on their own. I kept loosing them. I try to make sure my guys collars aren't too loose.

Glad the boys are ok

Wow, I am glad that ended well. Collars scare the heck out of me. The only time Augie wears one is on a walk or at Rally class.

Never a dull minute Missy. LOL. I shouldn't laugh, but what the hell. Lucky hubby didn't get bit. This is an example how even the dearest dog will bite it's owner, even though this was from pushing on his teeth. Yeah have a drink or two ,or three ...or

Oh Missy, how scary! These little guys can get into some of the craziest predicaments! I'm so glad to hear everything turned out well except for Michael's finger......lol I've had a few of those punctures lately myself thanks to McGee!

Wow, I am glad they are okay. What a scare. I wonder if I should take the dogs collars off when they are home alone.
