Help with a Hav Project

My daughter Lizzie (age 11) just became a very proud Hav Mommy. The problem? In a week she leaves to go visit her biodad in another state for 24 days

She's heartbroken about leaving her baby so I promised to send her pictures every day while she's gone. Since I'm also going to be heartbroken about the fact MY baby isn't here (the longest we have ever been apart is 8 days) I decided to have some fun with it help us all get through.

Luckily Mason is the most camera friendly little pup I've ever photographed, and couldn't care less about flashes and the noise.

I've set up a Facebook page for Mason and am going to post a picture each day for her along with something written "by" Mason about how he's doing. I really want to make this crazy/fun, though, and I'm hoping y'all can give me some ideas.

A lot of them will be some silly doggie clothes I have, but I'd also like to find some fun situations (of course safe for Mason) that I can take pictures of. Any suggestions? For example I figured I'd take him to the park on our walk and talk about him "feeding the ducks" or take a picture of him "driving the car" somewhere (of course the car is not moving, lol!)

I'd love to hear what y'all can come up with to help me out!

Marah

Driving the car sounds cute, but remember he shouldn't be out walking in public places until at least a couple of weeks after he's had his 3rd set of puppy shots!

Once he's old enough to be out in public, you can take him to the beach and pose him with a beach ball and a bucket, or with sun glasses. Or you could set up a little "studio" for pictures in your house on a small table, and pose him with various props. If you are handy with Photoshop, the sky is (not even) the limit... you can put him in France with the Eiffel Tower, or even in a space ship!

That is going to be a long 24 days for a new pup owner. What a great idea to help her get through it!

Ooh thank you all so much, I LOVE all the ideas! Keep them coming!

Yes, it will be forever for Lizzie. She was actually considering not getting a pup and waiting...but there will NEVER be a summer she isn't gone for at least 21 days. She finally decided even though it was hard they did have some time before she had to go and at least it was summer so her younger brothers and older sister were there with him, too, while she's gone.

What a great idea! My daughter Elissa is also 11, and also about to leave to see her dad for the summer. Elissa will be gone for 2 months though - maybe I should do something like that! P.s. you're gonna share the fb page with all of us too, right??

I don't write very well, but have the gift of talking for my animals. I generally crack up the hubby by talking for Rosie. So my suggestion is to let the puppy do the talking and Mommy do the typing. Puppy can say things that Mommy can't (tell on Mommy for made up silly things like putting the ice cream in the oven and making a mess and puppy trying to lick up as much as he could before mommy found out.) You get the idea. My smaller grandchildren really believe that Rosie can talk to me and I relate her tales to them. They love to hear them. Be sure to include pictures of shredded toilet paper, etc.

I think that's a GREAT idea, Lucile, for the posts to be in the puppy's voice.

Now if you could only get a puppy cam set up at home, she could watch him all the time.
