Vacation Time for the "Drama Boys"

As many of you know from my previous posts, we are away in Cape Cod on vacation with Brady and Dugan. Cassie is on her very own vacation with her Grandmom and Bacca (her havanese). I was told yesterday that Bacca and Cassie ran off and eloped and that Cassie is going to be living permanently with my Mom and Bacca. Nice try Mom. Anyway, the "drama boys" are enjoying going to the beach and having nice dinners out with us. We resorted to hiring a babysitter to stay with them last night since they get very upset when we leave them alone here. I promised my husband we would not tell his family or friends about that. Here are some pictures of the boys and their adventures so far.

Now, that looks like MY kind of vacation! Looks very restful. Lucky you! And so glad the sitter worked out well for you! Does your sitter get a lot of work? Does she just sit for dogs? or other pets, or anything that needs 'sitting'? What a good idea for a summer job - at a vacation area - so people can have the comfort of taking their pets, but having someone available to provide some relief so they can have some 'alone' time! Yes, one does have to watch what they share with family and friends, unless, of course, they happen to have one or more of these characters living with them!

Yes, my Mother understands (since she also owns a havanese). The sitter is a very nice 19 year old who is staring a petsitting business. She does midday dog walks and has a nice website she set up, etc. I found her on Craigslist, and then did some more research. I think she would do any kind of pets. She advertised on her website that she would watch the dogs in "our" home for up to 5 hours. That is what made me call her. I wish I would have had babysitting jobs like this one when I was her age. She said Dugan sat with her all night and Brady chilled nearby. I set her up with the remote and the wireless password and she was good to go

Great pictures, looks like the boys are having a great time. Have they gone in the water or do they like to just hang out on the beach?

I'm glad to hear the pet sitter worked out and you could go out and have a good time.

Karen, where on the Cape? The beach looks like a great place for the furkids.

We take the boys to the ponds at Nickerson State Park and they will swim there. It is lovely there and you are allowed to bring the dogs to the side beaches with no lifeguards. It is very private and we usually have a little patch of sand to ourselves. We are staying in Orleans, but we just discovered Head of the Meadow Beach in Truro. It is beautiful and since it is one of the National Seashore Beaches, it is dogfriendly. The boys will go in the ocean when there are no waves, but there are waves, they will drag us away from the ocean. They are more than happy to sit under our chairs or the umbrella and supervise everything going on around them.
