Bump on beamers rear..

There seems to be some sort of bump on beamers rear area. Feels like it is right under the skin.. possibly a fat deposit or something? Same area he got his rabies shot... anyone know what this might be? Should i take him to the vet to check it out??

Thanks!
Ryan

Ryan,

Is the bump on his rear soft/squishy, does it move easily?

Hi!
The bump is not squishy really.. it does not move and seems to be right under the skin. It feels like maybe upto a cm in diameter. What could it be?

When you say that it is on his "rear", where do you mean? Do you mean on his back? Near his anus? On his hips?

My vets don't give Rabies down below the shoulder so I'm not sure what you mean.

For peace of mind, you may want to call the vet's office and ask if you can leave a message about what you see and find out if the vet can call you when s/he has time.

Hi Kim,
Its not actually on his rear. Its pretty close to his hip i'd say. I think I'll give the vet a call tomorrow and see what they say. Have you heard of something like this before?
Thanks!
Ryan

How long ago did he get his shot?
It could be irritated from that.

My guess would be that it's totally related to his vaccine, but I agree you should give the vet a quick call for peace of mind.

I agree that it's probably related to the vaccine. I think they are evil. LOL, but I really do.
