Smile Jellybean Is Over 6 Months

Hey everyone!
I don't post much because looking through past posts all my questions have been answered lol. And, this will be long winded! My family is so sick of hearing me talk about this puppy that I will just... burst here.

Jellybean, my hav I got in April, is almost 6 and a half months old. He got neutered day before yesterday and is doing wonderful after that. First day I felt guilty because he looked so miserable but by the morning he was bouncing off the walls. We had to separate him from our poodle because he wanted to rough house so bad.

He is the best dog I've ever had and I am SO thankful I discovered this breed. Just so great. Adores all people and most other animals as long as they don't growl at him. Easy! Potty-training is almost complete. He learns tricks quick. He learned sit and spin within his first two weeks of being with me.

I always have someone to welcome me home now and to greet me when I wake up every morning. He gets extremely excited when he sees me after not being around me for an hour or more. He'll try to sit(I've been training him he only gets attention when sitting) but then the happiness takes over and he just can't hold his bottom to the ground any longer.
I also get to wake up twice every night to take him outside- once at 2-3AM then again at 5AM. That's less than amazing... still, I'd rather wake up twice than not have Jellybean!
Another thing I like about him? How he plays with icecubes! We have one of those icecube maker fridges and sometimes a cube pops out and doesn't land in the cup. Soon as he hears it hit the ground he starts playing, batting it and jumping on it. When it's very hot he'll just lay on the floor and lick it.

Watch out if you leave a roll of anything where he can get it. He will use his nose to unroll toilet paper and paper towels. He doesn't eat it or shred it- just unrolls it. Then there was the night he drug the entire BAG or toilet paper into my room... as if I wouldn't notice! It's quite funny. We've learned to keep things up now

His den is under my bed. There he collects all his treasures where it's harder for me to reach them. If he gets anything he knows he shouldn't have I always know where to look for him- one of our two dog beds. I don't know WHAT is up with him but he seems to think if he can just get to a dog bed nothing will get taken away. Once the bed was only a couple feet away in plain view.

The monkey: I had a stuffed monkey from when I was 6 or 7 that I got when my family went on vacation. He adores it and now has it for his very own. He doesn't destroy it or tear it up, just lugs it around. In the morning it's in my bedroom by afternoon the living room.. night it's back in my room. It's funny to see him carrying it around as it's longer than he is.

Prancey: he prances when he walks. Running he hops but walking he moves with this pep in his step. You can just tell he's happy and feeling good when he walks

Jellybean is already having a slight color change. He has black tips over his entire body and since those have grown out we can see a totally different color- it's kind of a tan color with a little extra orange mixed in here and there. Does that make sense? He looks kinda funny since you can tell exactly where the black tips end now. I'd say he has 2-3 inches of fur now. Or do you guys call it hair?

He fits in build-a-bear shirts! Have you guys ever tried that with your dogs? Since I live with three small children who go to build-a-bear... I had to try it! They fit perfect since they are short enough not to get in the way of bathroom going, thankfully! We haven't tried putting his top fur into a tie yet- I'm kinda scared to and wouldn't really know how to do it so his hair doesn't get done up at all- plus, he gets called a girl enough lol.

Lol, okay, I'll stop rambling. Doubt anybody will read the entire thing but here are some pictures for those who just want to see him!
These are a week or two old... I don't have any more recent ones because I keep forgetting to take some. So just add some extra fur to the top of his head(almost into his eyes now) and you'll have what he looks like now!

Oh he is adorable, and as my tween daughter would say, FLUFFEH lol. I enjoyed every word of your post as well - you should not be afraid of posting more often! We all here have the same obsession with our dogs, and other havs, that you have lol.

My Ceylon is just over 7 months - he was born on December 22nd, so he is almost the same age as Jellybean but although he has long hair as well, he is not nearly as 'fluffeh' lol, but it was pretty fluffy a month or two ago...

Anyway, SOOO cute! Thanks for sharing!

For reference, here is Ceylon at 4 1/2 months:

And here he is now (ignore the mess, I am doing some spring, I mean summer, cleaning lol):

heatherk, your pictures aren't showing up for me

His fur is fluffy but fine, it isn't very thick and soft to the touch. Straight for the most part; where it first comes out of his skin it has a slight wave to it. It tangles really easy though. If I don't brush him out every day I find at least one mat on him even if I only skip one day. Brushing is fun for the most part though, unless there is a bad tangle or a mat, then I brush forever and he gets tangle free and I get a sore wrist lol.
