Annoying, but also cute.....

Probie has decided he does not want to come up our front steps any more. This is where they go in/out 90% of the time. My only guess is that he must have slipped on the steps (only 6 steps), and now when he does decide to come up he just tucks his tail and tries to go really fast, which usually means slips again. So I have been having to carry him up the steps, which I think is a bad habit to start as well.
So, tonight as I tried to coax him to come in, he suddenly bounced around in pure joy (you could see him thinking - I HAVE AN IDEA!) and looked at the corner of the house. I asked if he wanted to go to the back door. He pounced around some more and took off around the house with his lightening speed. I went through the house to the back door where he proudly pounced up the TWO set of steps there and into the house!

Great story! Just a thought though - Perhaps putting rugs or carpeting on the front steps might encourage him to use the steps so he will no longer slip??

Cheers!

These funny little guys! Years ago I bought some sandpapery type strips to go on our steps that got really slippery when wet. Maybe that would work.

Hope Probie can overcome his problem with the front steps and regain his confidence.
