Teeth Falling Out

Wasn't sure if this should go in the puppy thread since I was hoping to hear from people who've been through it already...Cappy is 5 months old and is losing teeth like crazy. He lost 2 incisors this week. Tonight he was biting a toy and another one fell out. We also noticed him acting like he's chewing something all day today, but when I checked in his mouth he didn't have anything. I'm wondering if he was trying to "work" the loose tooth out? Has anyone seen the same thing with their Hav? With our last dog (a Maltese), we never even saw any of his puppy teeth come out so this is a first for us.

With Yogi, we found lots of her teeth...with Boo, only one tooth. This is very normal. My son even found one of his kitty's teeth when he was getting his big boy teeth.

yup, Tillie did the same thing. She would lose them and then chew on them... until we were like hey, what's she chewing on!? LOL we'd have her "drop it" and she'd drop a tooth! ha! teething is SO much fun!

Never found a one with any puppy I have ever had. I think they must swallow them sometimes.

I found Stella's around the house too. I've had lots of dogs but she is the first one that I found baby teeth just laying around.

I've had several small dogs in my life and McGee is the only one that lost teeth that I found! I heard him chewing on some a couple of weeks ago and went to investigate - opened his mouth up and a big back tooth fell out! I've found probably six and I think he is finally through. I found one in the bed! His big boy teeth are so pretty!!! Some are still growing so he's still chewing a lot!
