Timmy says take me home Lassie

Amazing how animals especially dogs know their way home. Camping this past few days, I was amazed how well Molly knows where to go to get back to the campsite. We were out walking and about seven roads from the campsite. So I said Molly camp. And without any signals I let her lead me the whole way. This was on the second day being there. She knows what camp means ,as I always say it when we arrive back from our walkies. And the funny thing is that she even led me to where my daughter's campsite was and she had only been there once the night before. Nice to know that if I get lost she might well be able to take me home. Or if I go blind. Great animals. We don't give them credit for how well they learn things. Any other guide dogs out there?

I was amazed at the same thing with Lizzie. I took her to my parents house and we went for a walk. She knew right where to go on the way home!

I don't know if Rosie could find our way home, she hasn't been tested. But I used to have a pot-bellied pig that could not only find her way home, she could find the idiot yard dog (lab) that we had at the time and lead it home. I never want to have another lab puppy, they take forever to grow up and mind. But the little pig learned how to sit, stay, come and anything else that I was trying to teach the lab. but the cutest thing was when the lab took off and wouldn't come out of the woods, I sent the pig to find her and she came back with the lab. All that work and my son took the lab back.
